George Harrison was the quiet majority and his legacy will continue to grow and grow as people begin to distinguish the man from the celebrity. This website is not specifically about George, it is about the timeless human spirit he embodied, and in the final analysis, it is not really possible to separate one from the other. That is the message that George Harrison consistently promoted and that is the spirit this website will hopefully convey.

The words people use are the best reflection of a person's soul and George Harrison was consistent. Listen to George Harrison describe his craft; "I just like the idea and the opportunity to freshen it up, because the point of 'My Sweet Lord' is just to try and remind myself basically that there's more to life than the material world. Basically I think the planet is doomed," George said with a laugh. "And it's my attempt to try to put a bit of a spin on the spiritual side, a reminder for myself and for anybody who's interested." If the glass was half empty, George Harrison was simultaneously content because he was always positive about what he called "my place in creation ... and I don't have any worries whatsoever about that."

At hearing the news of his death, soulmate Paul McCartney chockingly said, "He's a beautiful man and the world will miss him."

George Harrison's words live on; "And the answer is how to get peace of mind and how to be happy. That's what we're supposed to be here for." -George Harrison Free as a bird.
