Americans despise being told what to think and they have turned away from the media. They no longer trust it and like rebellious kids, they frequently do the exact opposite of what the media tells them to do.
Take the following Newsweek cover. What is the message that Newsweek is trying to convey?
Anybody who is perceptive will understand the simple fact that Newsweek is deliberately trying to appeal to Mitt Romney's homophobic base.
How do we know? Why else would the newest Newsweek Magazine declare President Obama “The First Gay President?” Do you actually believe that a rainbow-colored halo around Obama's head is not seeking to exploit the fact Obama voiced support for gay marriage? Is that what the media is supposed to do, exploit the views of political candidates?
When Obama is re-elected in a landslide, Newsweek will have egg on its face..
The media is so deluded that it in fact thinks that if it controls the message, the entire election will hinge on this issue. Think I'm kidding? According to ABC News, "Obama's gay marriage stance could hurt him". A New York Times/CBS News poll released Monday night shows the possible political perils of President Obama's recent announcement that he supports same-sex marriage. And in what is expected to be a tight race, "even a small shift in swing states could be costly."
The media is astoundingly predictable but guess what? Obama and the American people are on the right side of history. The media is a national joke.
And by the way, during the 2008 Presidential campaign, Romney told CNN commentator Roland Martin that he was “pro gay rights.” Does this mean that Mitt Romney is the first gay candidate to oppose a sitting president?
